Vegan Sticky Orange Sesame Tofu

Vegan-Sticky-Orange-Sesame-Tofu

This makes a sweet and full of flavors able to instantly turn any stir-fry or bowl into a full meal.

With just a squeeze from juicy oranges paired wonderfully with umami soy sauce and ginger, this tofu recipe tastes delicious. 

Ingredients

For the tofu:

1 block firm tofu, cut into cubes

1 teaspoon tapioca  

1 teaspoon powder

¼ teaspoon salt

For the orange sesame sauce:

⅓ cup soy sauce 

⅓ cup maple syrup or honey

3 tablespoon tomato paste

3 tablespoon orange juice

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground ginger 

¼ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds 

How to prepare:

For the tofu, preheat the oven to 200 Celsius. Mix in a large bowl all the ingredients. Toss well and then place on a lightly oiled baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

For the sauce, into a medium mixing bowl, add all ingredients, and steer thoroughly. 

Into a saucepan over medium heat, add sauce, and cook for about 5 to 10 minutes, once you see the sauce starts to thicken and reduce you can turn off the heat. 

Add the tofu to the pan and gently mix to coat. Serve warm over rice with , or toss with ramen noodles.
