Marco Pierre White Set To Sell 3D-Printed Vegan Steaks For Same Price As Beef

Celebrity chef and restauranteur Marco Pierre White will start selling 3D-printed steaks across his UK restaurants.

The faux steaks are made by Israeli-based Redefine Meat, a company claiming to mimic the look, flavor, and texture of beef using AI.

The famed chef manages more than 20 steakhouse restaurants all around the UK, where the new steaks will be served.

“The world needs to eat less meat. But, the reality is that until now meat products have fallen way short in terms of the quality and versatility required for our menus,”

According to reports, the vegan steaks will be on offer for between USD 10 to USD 20 in the restaurants in line with similar price ranges for non-vegan offerings.

The company aims to transform meat with its New-Meat alternatives with 3D-printed vegan steaks.

Redefine introduced the steaks in Israel back in 2018. Here, they became available in more than 150 restaurants following a successful launch in 2020.

The company claims to have “mastered” the complex molecular structure of meat, and how to transform that plant-based into the same taste like the real thing.
